HEX 909 High Tack is a 135 µm application tape built for films that are difficult to transfer, such as etched glass film and films with structured or textured surfaces. Its natural rubber-based adhesive gives immediate tack and holds firmly during wet application, so the film stays in place while you position and apply it.
When to use HEX 909 High Tack Application Tape
Standard application tape can struggle to lift and transfer films with an uneven or structured surface, or films applied to etched glass. HEX 909 High Tack is designed specifically for these harder jobs. Its stronger adhesive grips the film securely during transfer, reducing the risk of the film lifting or shifting before it is fully applied.
Technical specifications
HEX 909 High Tack is a 135 µm paper with a measured adhesion of 6 N/25mm to a steel support and a tensile strength of 74 N/25mm. The tape works from a minimum application temperature of +4°C and is suitable for wet application, giving immediate adhesion to the film as soon as it is applied.
Good adhesion to the liner reduces wrinkling and edge curl
Because HEX 909 High Tack bonds well to the liner, it helps prevent shrinkage, tunnelling and edge curl during application. This keeps the film flat and controlled while you work, which matters most on structured surfaces where a loose transfer tape can let the film distort.
